ITINERARY
Discover the heart of Salento, where crystal-clear sea, historic villages, and unspoiled natural landscapes follow one another in a perfect rhythm for cycling enthusiasts. This six-day tour takes you through the region, pedal after pedal, among postcard-perfect views and hidden corners, far from the most touristy routes.
Day 1 – Arrival in Lecce & Borgagne (35 km)
The adventure begins in Lecce, a city rich in Baroque heritage. Upon arrival, our staff will assist you with luggage drop-off and the delivery of your bikes from our partners, complete with personalized fitting and GPS routes already loaded on the devices.
The first ride leads to the fortified village of Acaya, a Renaissance jewel with perfectly preserved walls, guardian of ancient stories. Continuing through the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, you’ll reach the Cesine Nature Reserve, an oasis of dunes, wetlands, and woods where migratory birds accompany your journey.
At the end of the day, check-in at your selected accommodation and free time to relax and enjoy your first taste of Salento.
Day 2 – Adriatic Coast (36 km)
Today, the sea takes center stage. The ride begins in Torre dell’Orso, overlooking the Due Sorelle, two sea stacks rising from crystal-clear waters. Continue towards Roca Vecchia, an ancient village by the sea, known for its millenary history and fascinating hidden caves.
Along the way, photo stops, refreshing swims, and seaside lunches set the rhythm of the day. Secret spots like Portulignu and ‘Nfucaciucci offer unique views, known only to locals. The day ends in San Foca, a charming fishing village, where the scent of fresh fish and the slow pace of the seafront make for an unforgettable evening.
Day 3 – Otranto & Bauxite Quarry (42 km)
Otranto welcomes cyclists with its ancient towers, the Cathedral, and the Aragonese Castle, guardians of pirate tales and centuries-old trade. Riding through the narrow streets of the old town, you can feel the breath of history.
The tour continues towards the Bauxite Quarry, an almost surreal landscape where the deep red earth contrasts with the vivid green of the lake. Every glance is a spectacle: photo stops and moments of contemplation enrich the experience.
Day 4 – Grecìa Salentina (33 km)
Today you’ll explore the hinterland of Grecìa Salentina, passing through Martano, Melpignano, and Corigliano d’Otranto. Squares, alleys, and noble palaces tell the story of an ancient culture, with the Griko language still alive among the locals.
Optional visits include historic sites such as De’ Monti Castle or Palazzo Marchesale, leaving you free to choose how to experience the day. This is a shorter stage, designed to recover energy without giving up authenticity and the charm of local atmospheres.
Day 5 – Alimini Lakes & Sant’Andrea (40 km)
The tour focuses on nature and breathtaking landscapes. Between the Alimini Lakes, pine forests, and wooden piers, the ride offers idyllic views and moments of relaxation.
Arrival in Sant’Andrea, where the sea stacks rise from the water creating a unique scenery. The day ends at the natural pool of Le Canniceddhre, a hidden gem ideal for unwinding and embracing the silence.

Day 6 – Departure and transfer to Lecce
After breakfast, the transfer takes you back to Lecce. The bikes are returned directly at the accommodation. For those who wish, the journey can be enriched with optional activities in the capital of Salento’s Baroque: guided tours, food experiences, or cultural visits.
The return of the bikes marks the end of the tour, but the memories of cycling among sea, villages, and nature will remain forever.
